A team of officers from the Narcotics Control Commission participated in an inter-agency cooking competition hosted by the Gaming Commission of Ghana on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Prisons Officers’ Mess.

Out of the eleven agencies under the Ministry of Interior, NACOC placed third with Immigration emerging as winners followed by National Identification Authority (NIA) placing second. The team was awarded with hampers, souvenirs, and a certificate of honor.

Fufu with light soup, Ampesi with palaver stew, Waakye, Banku, Tou Zaafi, Aky3k3, and others were among the foods prepared on the day.

The NACOC team was led by SNCO Edith Naadu Laryea of the Administrative Department and supported by SNCO Rebecca Osei Bonsu of the Precursor Control Unit together with other officers prepared fufu with light soup, while other agencies, such as the Ghana Immigration Service, which won the event, prepared ampesi and stew.

The participating agencies include the Ghana Prisons Service, NADMO, Ghana National Fire Service, NACOC, Refugee Board, Small Arms Commission, National Peace Council, Ghana Immigration Service, National Identification Authority (NIA), and the Gaming Commission.

Participating agencies prepared their assigned variety of local foods.
