The Director-General of the Narcotics Control Commission, Brig Gen Maxwell Obuba Mantey, together with his Deputy Director-General in charge of Enforcement, Control and Elimination, Mr Alexander Twum-Barimah, on Tuesday, 22 July 2025, visited the stands of the Commission at the 2025 edition of the Civil Service Week Celebration at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The event, which started on Monday 21, July, 2025, will end on Thursday 24, July, 2025, with various agencies and ministries participating in exhibiting their products and services to the general public.

Officers from the Education Department of the Commission took the Director-General and his Deputy, as well as the Directors of Enforcement and Control, CNCO Solomon Stanley Eyo and PNCO Francis Opoku Amoah, to view some of the products on exhibition.

The head of the Cannabis Regulations Department, SNCO/Dr. Basha Ligbi took Management through some of the services that the Commission intends to roll out to the general public, such as the activation and implementation of the cannabis license, as well as the various modalities one has to follow.

The Director-General, NACOC, Brig Gen Mantey, commended the team for their commitment and service to the Commission and urged them to keep it up.

The team later took the opportunity to visit other stands, such as the Ghana Immigration Service, Ministry of Trade and Agricbusiness, Ministry of Finance and the National Service Authority to interact with their team.

Brig Gen Mantey was accompanied by the Deputy Director-General in charge of Enforcement, Control and Elimination, Mr Alexander Twum-Barimah, CNCO Solomon Stanley Eyo, Director of Enforcement and Operations, PNCO Francis Opoku Amoah, Acting Director of Public Affairs and International Relations.
