The Bono-East Regional Commander of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), SNCO Portia Abuwie Demuyakor, has formally expressed appreciation to the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Pru-east District, Hon. Abdul-Nassir Dauda for allocating the Commission with an office space within the district.
During a courtesy call on the DCE, SNCO Demuyakor commended the DCE for his cooperation and support, noting that the provision of office accommodation significantly strengthens NACOC’s operational presence in the Pru-East District, Yeji and enhances the Commission’s capacity to effectively execute its mandate within the Bono-East Region.
Hon. Abdul-Nassir Dauda reaffirmed his commitment to continue collaboration with NACOC in promoting security, safety, and sustainable development within the district.
As part of the visit, the Regional Commander and her team also paid courtesy calls on sister security and regulatory agencies in Pru-East District, Yeji, including the Ghana Immigration Service, the Ghana Navy, Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Maritime Authority.
The engagements focused on strengthening inter-agency cooperation, intelligence sharing, and coordinated responses to security and narcotic-related challenges, particularly within the riverine communities.
The visit underscores NACOC’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with local authorities and sister agencies to enhance coordinated law enforcement and public safety efforts in the Bono-East Region.
