The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Sam Nartey George (MP) has presented 10 lenovo laptops and 10 desktop computers to the Narcotics Control Commission.

In a brief remark, Hon. Sam Nartey George recounted his long standing working relationship with the Director-General of NACOC stating that “this is just the beginning of our support to NACOC, I will provide all the necessary logistical support NACOC needs in delivering on its mandate in ensuring public health and safety”.

The Director-General of the Narcotics Control Commission, Bridgadier General Maxwell Obuba Mantey expressed his appreciation to the minister and also called on other stakeholders to support NACOC in delivering on its mandate particularly in ensuring that the youth stay away from substance abuse.

“Substance abuse particularly among the youth in our schools is real, we need the support of all to curb the menace”- DG said

Dr Sofo Tanko Rashid Computer, Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) under the communications ministry together with other directors were present during the presentation of the computers.

The Director-General was accompanied by his Deputy in-charge of Enforcement, Control and Elimination, Lawyer Alexander Twum-Barimah, and the Acting Director of Public Affairs and International Relations, PNCO Francis Opoku Amoah.
