The Regional Superintendent of the Greater Accra West Region of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Michael Offei Ayesu has paid a courtesy call on the Director-General of NACOC, Brigadier General Maxwel Mantey, at his office on Thursday, 4th December 2025 .
The call was aimed at the church partnering with NACOC on advocacy about drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking.
Rev. Michael Offei Ayesu commended Brigadier Gen. Maxwell Mantey for his visionary leadership, humility, and dedicated service, which he said has contributed to the progress and success of NACOC.
He urged Brigadier General Mantey to continue with his good exploits for the country, mainly to make a drug-free society.
The delegation prayed for Brigadier General Mantey and wished him well in his endeavours as well as presented him with a gift.
On his part, Brig. Gen. Mantey expressed his appreciation for the visit and briefed the team about the nature of his work, challenges, and dangers of their operations.
He added that the campaign requires the collective responsibility as stakeholders to ensure that our youth refrain from indulging in acts that would hinder their future aspirations. Hence, the church must play a critical role in this campaign.
Rev. Ayesu was accompanied by his Executive Committee officers, Rev. Humphrey Henry Hagan the Regional Secretary, Rev. Charles Koomson, the Regional Treasurer and they were joined by Rev Emmanuel Ankah, a pastor.
