The health and well-being of officers are a top priority of management, and in view of that management has organised a breast screening and education with the call on officers to routinely screen early as early detection saves life.
A team of medical officers from Danpong Healthcare took officers through what causes breast cancer, risk factors, signs, and the need to routinely go for breast screening.
In an interactive engagement of officers at the Headquarters on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Dr. Thomas Boobo from Danpong Healthcare took questions and addressed some from officers concerning breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an international health campaign that is held every October. It aims to promote screening and reduce the risk of the disease, which affects 2.3 million women worldwide.
Known best for its pink theme colour, the month features several campaigns and programs designed to support people diagnosed with breast cancer, educate people about breast cancer risk factors and encourage women to go for regular breast cancer screening starting at age 40 or earlier, depending on personal breast cancer risk.
