The Director-General of the Narcotics Control Commission, Brig Gen Maxwell Obuba Mantey together with his Deputy Director-Generals, Mr Alexander Twum-Barimah, in charge of Enforcement, Control and Elimination, Mr Stephen Yeboah in charge of General Services on Wednesday 29 October, 2025 paid a courtesy call to the family and children of former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

The call, which had other heads of security agencies, namely Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and Ghana Immigration Service, was to sympathise with the family and children

The event was also to give the assurance of their support and commitment before, during, and after the funeral, which shall be a state ceremony.

The Director-General in signing the book of condolence on behalf of the Board, Management and Staff urged the family and children to remain focused and strong in this solemn moment that the nation is experiencing relating to the demise of Mrs Rawlings.

He added that the thoughts and prayers of the entire NACOC staff are with the family and children.

On her part, Hon. Dr Zanetor Rawlings, on behalf of her siblings, thanked the security heads for the love and care.
