Management of the Narcotics Control Commission on Thursday, 9 October 2025, hosted a 29-member delegation from the Malawian Defence Force Senior Command and Staff College.

The courtesy call forms part of their study tour to Ghana and understudy some operational strategies in curbing the narcotic drugs menace.

The Deputy Director-General in charge of Enforcement, Control and Elimination, Lawyer Alexander Twum-Barimah in his welcome remarks commended the delegation for their consideration to understudy the operational strategies of NACOC.

He urged all to join in the fight against the illicit drug trafficking menace across Africa.

Mr Twum-Barimah reiterated NACOC’s commitment to ensure that the lives and safety of Ghanaians are safe by clamping down on all forms of nefarious activities by individuals and their associates involved in the illicit drug trafficking syndicate.

Colonel Alfred Luciano Matambo, leader of delegation, expressed appreciation for the valuable insights and knowledge shared during the visit to management of NACOC.

On his part, Brigadier General Crispin Phiri – DA Addis Ababa, attached to Ghana, commended NACOC for its strategic approach adopted in curbing narcotics related issues in Ghana and some parts of Africa.
