Mr Stephen Yeboah, the Deputy Director-General in charge of General Service, on Monday, 27 October 2025, paid a working visit to the Volta Regional Command in Ho.

The visit was mainly to inspect and hand over the command’s office for renovation work to commence, where he charged the contractor to ensure that the nine-week ultimatum is met, as well as to do quality work.

Mr Stephen Yeboah made these remarks during the handing over of the office to the contractor Makossy Enterprise.

“To Makossy Enterprise, we extend our trust and confidence in your proven expertise, we are optimistic that your craftsmanship and diligence will transform this space into a facility that reflects the high standards of our Commission while enhancing the morale and productivity of our staff” he indicated.

He added that the ongoing renovation, when completed and handed over, will not only enhance operational efficiency but will also strengthen NACOC’s commitment to ensuring that staff welfare and working conditions are promoted.

“The Narcotics Control Commission’s mandate is clear: mainly to combat drug abuse and trafficking in order to safeguard the well-being of our nation.”

Mr Yeboah maintained that the Commission, in order to achieve its focus, is to ensure that our staff operate in an environment that inspires professionalism and dedication.

He stressed that the renovation will not only enhance operational efficiency but also strengthen our resolve to deliver on our mandate.

“Together, we can make a tangible difference in protecting our communities and nurturing a healthier society.”

He commended officers of the Regional Command for their successes, mainly in clamping down on persons found to be trafficking narcotics from the region to their destination, hence the need for a befitting office space for the staff to occupy.
